Counseling

EMDR
Therapy

Whatever may be bringing you in, my goal is to help you gain a better understanding of what is or is not working for you in your life.

I like to incorporate creativity and mindfulness into my work with my clients. I believe that people learn in different ways and the same applies how people heal.

I view counseling as a collaborative experience, but at the end of the day it is you who gets to decide what you want to work on during your time in my office. â€‹

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing.

EMDR is used to alleviate distressing or traumatic memories that alter how an individual interacts within the world.

When an individual experiences something distressing or traumatic the brain stores it where it is easily accessible causing you to feel as though you are experiencing that memory all over again any time it is brought to your attention.

Through reprocessing the emotional reactivity of the memory is lessened, and the brain stores the memory in long term memory. The individual gains new insights into how these memories influenced how they have interacted within the world and beliefs about themselves.

Autism Evaluations

Step 1: Initial Connection

Before scheduling, we’ll have a brief email or phone conversation to be sure this service is a good fit for your goals.
You’ll receive information about what the evaluation includes, cost, and what to expect.

If you choose to move forward, we’ll schedule your two sessions and I’ll send secure digital forms to complete before we meet.

Step 2: The MIGDAS-2 Interview (90 minutes)

Our first session uses the MIGDAS-2 (Monteiro Interview Guidelines for Diagnosing the Autism Spectrum, 2nd Edition) — a sensory-based, conversational tool that helps paint a vivid picture of your lived experience.

We’ll talk through topics such as:

  • How you process information and emotions

  • Sensory preferences and sensitivities

  • Communication and social patterns

  • Areas of deep interest, creativity, or focus

  • Everyday routines, regulation, and supports

This is not a test — it’s a conversation. Many clients describe it as both affirming and eye-opening, offering new language for understanding how their brain and body work together.

Step 3: SRS-2 Questionnaire

You’ll complete the SRS-2 (Social Responsiveness Scale, 2nd Edition) — a standardized self-report questionnaire that helps quantify patterns related to social communication, sensory regulation, and restricted interests.

This step adds structure and validated data to complement the story-based MIGDAS-2 interview.

Step 4: Integration & Report

After your interview and questionnaire are complete, I review and integrate all findings into a comprehensive written report.
This report highlights:

  • Your unique neurodivergent strengths

  • Sensory and communication patterns

  • Context for your lived experiences

  • Gentle, practical recommendations for support

The report is designed to be clear, compassionate, and useful — something you can share (if you choose) with care providers, family, or workplace supports.

Step 5: Feedback & Discussion Session (60 minutes)

In our second meeting, we’ll review your results together. You’ll have plenty of time for questions, discussion, and reflection.
We’ll explore how your insights connect to daily life and ways to nurture your nervous system, relationships, and wellbeing moving forward.

Step 6: Optional Follow-Up Support

Some clients choose to continue therapy sessions after the evaluation to integrate new understanding, process emotions that arise, or explore regulation and identity work.
This step is always optional and can be tailored to your needs.

People in Park

Walk & Talk Therapy

Sometimes healing feels easier when you’re moving, breathing, and surrounded by trees.

Walk & Talk Therapy invites you to take your session outdoors — walking alongside the trails at Cleveland Park in Greenville, where nature becomes part of the process.

This approach supports nervous system regulation and mindfulness by combining gentle movement, fresh air, and reflective conversation. It’s especially helpful if you feel more grounded in motion or find sitting face-to-face in an office overwhelming.

Whether you need space to process, breathe, or reconnect with your body, Walk & Talk sessions offer a safe, natural setting for insight and calm.

Comfortable shoes encouraged; pace and path are always set by you.
